HOT!

We had a good day in the ministry today, mainly worked businesses looking for English speaking people. It was very hard to deal with the heat. It was around 90degrees, and very humid. David is the hottest place in panama, as it lies below sea level. It is amazing what 45 minutes of driving can do to the temperature. Volcán is much nicer, temperature wise. We did some errands in town, including buying a new sink/pedestal for the Blackers, as theirs needs replacing. They have been so kind and hospitable to us, helping us get settled, that it was the least we could do. I will try to install that for them soon.

We went to a place called PriceMart, which is owned by Costco, and is very similar. The big difference is that the little samples they always have are primarily alcoholic beverages. I have a feeling we will be going there a lot!

The drive back home into the mountains was refreshingly cool. We stopped at a roadside stand and bought some fresh pineapples, 3 for a dollar. The Blackers pointed out some houses for rent as we drove home. A nice 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a big fenced in yard for only $200 a month! It's going to be hard to go back home.

Riva making fried Plantains. Yummy!
